Who I Am
Hello, I’m Nicolas, a first generation professional with over 15 years of experience across Learning and Development, communications, education, journalism, and B2B SaaS. My work now sits at the intersection of partner enablement, customer education, product adoption, and learning operations, helping teams turn complex products, programs, and knowledge systems into clear, scalable experiences.
Fluently bilingual in Spanish, I hold a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and a BA in English from Montclair State University. My journey across the public and private sectors has strengthened my belief that the best solutions come from truly understanding the people we are here to help.
How I Collaborate
My approach to collaboration is rooted in two key principles, active listening and vulnerability. I listen with empathy, ask thoughtful questions, and work to create a sense of trust as teams move toward solutions together.
By embracing vulnerability, I bring my authentic self, personally and professionally, ready to navigate uncertainty, take calculated risks, and speak honestly when the work calls for it. I value diverse perspectives and enjoy mentoring others, because I believe great ideas can come from anywhere.
My Process
In building enablement programs, learning experiences, and content systems, I start with the needs and motivations of the people using them. By understanding their goals, challenges, and context, I aim to create experiences that are relevant, practical, and empowering.
My work often involves connecting strategy to execution, organizing intake and governance, building learning pathways, supporting field teams, improving LMS workflows, and translating complex product or curriculum changes into clear guidance. I use data, feedback, and iteration to continuously refine my work, making sure it remains effective, accessible, and aligned with evolving user needs.
Outside of Work
Beyond my professional pursuits, I find joy in spending quality time with my family, exploring new cuisines, and embarking on family adventures. Fútbol, calisthenics, and rock climbing keep my spirits high, and I enjoy grooving to melodic house music.
I’m also an active member of the Association for Talent Development NYC, where I engage with a broader community to share knowledge and support industry best practices. I also volunteer with the Close the Gap Foundation, a network dedicated to helping vulnerable populations navigate the workforce.
